Like Malée, Chika’s remains committed to giving back to the communities that inspired the products. In 2019 it launched Snacks4Change partnership with World Vision which supports girls through education. CHIKA’S donates 1 penny from every bag to the cause and aims to educate 30,000 girls by 2025.

My entirely family are self employed, so I guess I was destined to run my own business. Wanting complete flexibility meant I needed to have my own programme. However, what inspired me to launch Chika’s was the need to spread my love and West African culture whilst doing good.
I am also working on a new and very exciting project, which incidentally also launches May 2021. A very different and colourful avenue. We are launching CHIKA’S Africa, bringing our snacks to the continent in May 2021 and cannot wait.
Me time to me means undisturbed time with my kids and husband. I do not have time where I completely alone. But that is okay. They give me joy, and strength. I can also relax with a glass of wine in hand, whilst playing a board game with the family.
Saturday mornings, a slow, big breakfast and catch up with my children and Husband for company.
